Originally formed in early 1982 as Section 8, from North Hollywood, CA, in the San Fernando Valley. Changed name to America's Hardcore in late 1982. We only lasted about a year, until around Oct. 1983, but it was a hell of a year, with about 20 live shows, half outside of Los Angeles (San Fransisco, Fresno, Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson). Played shows with Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies, Dr. Know, Agression, Social Unrest, 7 Seconds, Secret Hate, Youth Brigade, Verbal Abuse, CH3, 45 Grave, and many more ...). Many people know them best for the shirt below which has gained iconic status in the hardcore community. The layout has been copied by many different bands and the shirt was photographed being worn by Ray Cappo, Porcell and other hardcore all stars in the mid to late 80's. For decades people have searched high and low but there were so few made its been one of the most sought after hardcore shirts around.
